Yesterday, Ella said good-bye to her greatest comfort, her thumb. A few months ago, Dr. Simonsen (the greatest pediatric dentist ever!) told us it was time to put a thumb blocker in. While I completely understand the bigger picture and how it will help her in the long run, I was devastated at the thought of taking the one thing away from her that she relies on when she's upset or tired. I started to have flashbacks of the Mr. Mom movie when Kenny had to give up his woobie! I guess if I was to be totally honest, it has become a comfort for me to. It's always there. You never lose it or forget to take it with you. And you don't have to put it back in when it falls out. They do that all by themselves. So, I guess it's a good-bye for both of us. Wish us luck!
Little does she know she will not be able to do this anymore.

Open wide!
Ella did fabulous!

Good work Ella, I am so impressed. And good luck to you Becky. I am sure that she will do great!
oh...goodbye Mr. Thumb. I will miss it too. I think it's adorable! Ella sure can open wide. I love it! We miss you guys already!
Becky,
I clicked on your site from Sara's and then I realized who this was. Fun, fun, fun to see pics of you all grown up and to see photos of your mom and dad. Please give them my best. Love, Diane Packham
Okay, how did I miss that this has already happened? Ella seemed to really groove on her Denist and his way of explaining things to her. You can see she was really paying attention and I'm sure she'll be able to explain to all her family and friends, when school starts, how it all works. Gorgeous teeth...here we come!(Just like her mom.;>) )
I'm still not in the habit of checking blogs, but I'll work on it. :-} I even had a hankering to start one for Dad and I. Hmm.
