Summer is officially over! While many dread the end of this season, I actually look forward to it. It means that Scott is on his way home to stay for awhile, Ella is back in school (which we all love) and cooler weather is on the way. I love fall!
This year, we decided to change preschools. Ella has spent the last two years at the University of Utah in the Child Development Center but it was getting difficult for both of us to be commuting so far. So, when we got wind that they were building a Challenger School just a couple of minutes from our house, we were thrilled. Ella was able to go and tour the building a couple of times during construction and could not wait to start in her new school (or "her Challenger" as she calls it). She had a great day and told me when she got home that "her kids (a.k.a. friends) wore her out!"
What a kick! Ella scored the first goal for her team and two more after that. Excited doesn't even begin to describe it. She came running off the field screaming, "I did it! I did it!"
Did they win? Good question. I wasn't keeping track. I don't know if anyone was. It was so fun to watch them and we were all so excited when any of them scored a goal, whether it was in the right goal or not. It's hard at this age to remember which direction they are supposed to go! :-)

Way to go Ella. She looks so cute in her soccer outfit! I would have given anything to see her play...Scott too. He did seem pretty bummed he was missing out on her first game. At least there are more to come right?! Looks like your family is keeping busy and having fun!
Oh and P.S. don't be mad! :) I just barely started reading my book. I had to make myself finish the Supernanny book before I could move on or it would just drive me crazy. That was my duty as a mom, now onto pleasure! Thank you guys again for the book. I wish I could be husbandless & kidless for a couple of days!
Wow, Ella looks like she puts her whole self into the game. I'm so glad she loves it. It teaches so many life skills. Being part of a team and supporting others, perseverance, listening to your coach (teacher), and having fun while exercising.
