We'll Cast a ~sPeLL~ on You!

How can you not love Halloween?! Well, I used to not be too crazy about it but now that we have Ella, it's a blast and we have a great time dressing up! Since Ella wanted to go to the Witch day at Gardner Village (and I wasn't going to buy two costumes), she decided to be a witch. I followed suit and Scott humored us as Merlin.

Ella had a party at school. The teachers at Challenger are amazing! They are sooo creative and animated! Here they are making witches brew from skeleton bones, witches tears, bat spit and ghosts breath!

Ella was so intrigued! And said it tasted just like ROOT BEER! She was pretty surprised! :-) Who knew so many yucky things could make something so yummy!

Before we went trick or treating we carved our jack-o-lantern.

Ella was not too sure about getting her hands inside the "disgusting" pumpkin but I convinced her it was fun. I remember doing it every year (thanks Mom) and it's just not the same experience if your hands aren't covered in pumpkin guts!

I can't tell - do you think she's excited!
He's going to look great on our front porch!

We also made Halloween cookies! Ella loves the frosting the best!
A few days before Halloween, Ella performed in her dance company's Halloween show. My camera was having issues but she's the one in the middle. This was the first performance that she got to wear mascara and she was pretty excited!

Our week started with Ella getting to be a flower girl at her old nanny, Brittany's, wedding. She was so excited - again! She loves being a flower girl. Who wouldn't at this age? I had to put this picture in because I LOVE her eyes! Ella was blessed with the most amazing baby blues and they are one of my favorite things about her!

A funny story from the wedding - While Ella was getting her picture taken, the videographer asked her to walk down this path and look at him. She thought she was a little movie star. She was looking at him, smiling, making kissing lips (is that legal at 4!), putting her hands on her hips, basically the works! Well, during her modeling moment, she failed to look at see what was coming and crashed dead center on her face into a low tree branch. Who has time to watch out for tree branches when you're busy being beautiful! It was hysterical - and it's all on film. If I can get it from the videographer I'll post it.

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe Halloween!

Wow, your costume is quite impressive. I love it. It is great to see what you guys have been up to. Ella makes me laugh. Just thinking of her as the flower girl made me chuckle. I really hope you get a copy because that would make my day.

Your costumes are great. I love yours. Nick and I need to get into Halloween more, I'm just lazy and not very creative when it comes to thinking of costumes. It looks like you had a great Halloween.

You guys went all out this year! You looked awesome! I wouldn't even know that was Scott if I passed by him. That story about Ella modeling for the camera, gave me & Josh a good laugh! :D I would pay to see that video!

You all look so awesome! I'm glad I was able to share my passion for Halloween with you all. And you're right, Becky, it's way more fun with little gobblins to dress up. That's ALL the fun. I miss it more than I can say. Thanks for sharing the pictures, it helps me pretend I was there. I'm glad Ella got past the punkin guts panic, it's so fun getting gooey! Your pumpkin turned out to be super!
