All alone . . .and where in the world did June go. . .

I am all alone! This morning, I took Ella to the airport to meet up with Mom and they are both in the air as I type on their way to see Josh, Brittany, Teegan and Camdyn in Virginia for a week! When dad and mom first asked me what I thought about her going, I was excited! I knew that she would love being with everyone and like all parents, who doesn't welcome the thought of having a little break. Well, be careful what you wish for! I was pretty sad to see her go. After a quick hug and kiss and reminder to be the best Ella ever, she was off. I waited to see if she would turn around to wave but she was a girl with a purpose - to get on that plane and start her trip. She is so proud to be old enough to be going somewhere without her mom and dad. And while I was a sad she didn't take that little look back, I am grateful that she is independent and strong.

So, now the question is. . .what do people do without kids and a husband for a week??!! I have totally forgotten. :-) I'm sure I'll come up with something. Thanks again mom and dad for inviting her - and mom for taking care of her! And Josh and Brittany, too! I really do hope she is her best Ella ever for you all! Make sure to give her lots of hugs and kisses for me!

A quick look back at June . . .While my days go by slowly, the weeks and months seem to fly. I have officially reached the totally uncomfortable stage of pregnancy and still have about 6 weeks to go. Ugh! My feet would give any polish sausage a run for it's money - they are huge! I'll spare you any photos of them. But I know it's all worth it - right?! :-)

June started with the arrival of our first purchase of something in two's - the carseats. I freaked out - just a little!

Then it was time to put the cribs together. A big thank you to Curt and Julie! They are our next door neighbors and dear friends! We really are blessed to be next to them! And Julie is going to be having a little boy within days of our boys. It's going to be a crazy street!

Ella was so excited to help because that's what big sisters do!

Ella loves to be outside! We recently bought her this whale pool and when the weather is nice, she can't wait to get in and play.

Seattle was kind enough to send all of their rain to Salt Lake this month. I wasn't complaining at all! I love the rain and it kept the temperatures cool. This night it rained particularly hard and we had an awesome display of thunder and lightning. I let Ella go out to play in it! Probably not my smartest mom move, especially since she had wet hair, but she loved it!

Ella performed in her final dance show of the season in June. Thanks, Tanya, for capturing some great shots of her in motion!
And now it's July - yes!! May it go as quickly as June did!
