Olympic Peninsula

We love to visit the Olympic Peninsula! It is so beautiful and so fun to be at the ocean!

Ella and Abe were thrilled to get to drive the car onto the big boat. I was thrilled that Cade and Cole decided to take a little nap.
No trip to the peninsula would be complete without a stop in FORKS! No Edward or Jacob sightings though!
Kalaloch Lodge is where we stayed the first time we came and we loved being right on the beach. We all got nice and cozy and shared one large suite. Quite an adventure with four kiddos. Poor dad was sick and didn't want to wake anyone so he spent the night in the Suburban. But you can do anything for at least one night!
The Hoh Rainforest is another favorite! Ella and Abe were fascinated with all the big trees, the moss growing on the trees, and the crazy things we found like weird mushrooms.
Cade was in heaven! He loves being in the backpack - up high.
Cole was not in heaven! He cried almost the entire walk through the forest.
Grandma loves trips like this because she gets to share all of her knowledge with the kids. They love it too and think she is so smart! She is!

I wish I could fly through the air like this. Way to go Beth!
