Happy Anniversary

Since our 1st Anniversary, this is the only year that we have actually been together on the big day. When Scott asked me what I wanted to do, I put him in complete charge. I told him to "woo" me. And he did!

On Sunday morning, he told me to pack an overnight bag with something dressy to wear and a swimsuit. He said the kids were all taken care of and he wasn't telling me where we were going.
He had some great connections and was able to get us a cottage at the Hotel Park City. It was so beautiful! We had an amazing room, just off the golf course, with a private balcony and hot tub. Oh la la!
After settling into our room, we headed to Main Street. We walked around and did some shopping before eating dinner at my favorite restaurant, Grappa!
The next morning, Scott got up and went to play a round of golf while I slept in! My favorite thing in the world (well, tied with chocolate!). And then he surprised me again by sending me off to the spa for three hours of pampering. I was in heaven!
What a great Anniversary! I was so surprised! I am a very lucky woman - and next year is on me!
Ella was sad that we were going away to celebrate without her. So, I told her that our anniversary was also our family's birthday (another great idea stolen from another brilliant mind - not mine!). When we got home from Park City, we took the kids to play at Boondocks!

And then ended the day with a yummy cake, party hats, kazoos and singing Happy Birthday to our little family! I love you all!
Oh, and TA DA! The grand finale - Ella smelling the cake, which resulted in daddy pushing her whole face in!
