Happy Birthday Daddy

Scott is now a whopping 36 years old! He decided to skip town just after the big day so we did a small family surprise for him. Unfortunately, all did not go as planned. I was pretty excited to make him a delicious chocolate cake - from scratch! I have become quite accustomed to cake in a box so this was a big feat for me. All looked good but I jumped the gun and tried to remove the cake before it was completely cool from the bundt pan. Big mistake! It came out in chunks and it was not a pretty sight when I tried to put it back together. It sure tasted good though. And that's all that really matters, right? The other big bummer of the night was the camera battery died. Hence, the lack of the birthday blow blowing out his candles or opening his presents (stuff for his grill). Bummer! I will hopefully be better prepared next year!
