Happy Birthday Ella

It's hard to believe that our sweet Ella is 7! She has been counting days for over a month now. On Sunday night, she was super excited that she was turning 7 but on Monday morning, she announced that she was going to miss being 6.
Scott flew home early this weekend for the festivities. We told Ella that she could choose a friend to spend the day with and pick what she wanted to do. She chose Austyn, swimming at Cherry Hill and a movie night.

Cherry Hill was a blast! We spent a lot of time floating in the Lazy River. Well, Scott and I floated and Ella and Austyn ran circles around us. They played in the fountains at Pirates Cove and went down the Dragon Slide more times than I could count. Ella proudly went down the slide for the first time by herself. It wasn't a great experience - she fell off her mat and was pretty scared - but she did it! By the end of the afternoon we were all pretty tired, especially Scott.

When I asked Ella what kind of party she wanted, she said a "purple dance party". So that's what we did. I took her to the party store and I think we walked out with anything that had purple on it! I made little gift boxes for the girls filled with purple candy, pencils, lip gloss, nail polish, and lotion. We had purple balloons, stars, cupcakes, juice and even ice cream!

Cade was in heaven at the party! He put on the purple necklace and sunglasses and helped himself to the bowl of purple sixlets!

Sugar, sugar and more sugar - YUM!!!

Ella, we are so happy to be celebrating this big day with you! You are such an incredible girl - so smart and fun! You are an amazing big sister! You are the first person Cade and Cole ask for in the morning. They cannot wait to see and play with you and you are so good with them. You are so helpful at home - always wanting to help vacuum or scrub the bathroom or mop the floor. You have accomplished so much this past year in school and in dance and we are so proud of you and love you more than you will ever know!
