Oops!

I had quite the twin mom oops today! Now that these babes are mobile and have little minds of their own, it's hard to keep up with them. Several people told me that the first year with twins is the hardest but I'm convinced that the second year is harder. Even though I'm no longer sleep deprived, I still have days where I do things that would make one believe I am. Like today!

Ella had dance and I was going to run a few errands in between her practice. I buckled the boys in and we set off. All went well. Ella danced while I did "drive thru" banking, dry cleaning and dinner. Before we went home, we stopped by Beth's house to drop off some cookies. When I got back to the car, this is where I found Cade - out of his carseat, sitting in the very back in Ella's booster. When I asked Ella why she took him out, she said she didn't. He leaned forward out of his seat and fell out. And then proceeded to climb in the back with her where she buckled him into her seat. Ummm....that means that I must have gotten distracted while loading him in the car and he didn't get strapped in. I can't believe that he went the whole trip without falling out and am feeling so blessed that we weren't in an accident. I am sure that I am not the only one who has had this happen but I double check now to make sure they are both in snug and tight. I do think Cade prefers the back seat booster though. He did not want to get out!

No worries .... back in the day we all sat without seat belts, and we're still here to talk about it. ;>) Seriously though, I'm glad you usually buckle-up my grand babies to keep them safe. Way to go Ella for latching his strap, even if he was in the wrong seat.
