Happy Birthday Cade and Cole

Unbelievable - the boys are 2! It's crazy to think how fast (and slow at times) this past year has gone. They have both grown so much and are both developing such strong and fun personalities.
We decided to celebrate their birthday a couple of weeks early since we would be in Seattle on the actual day and their party wouldn't fit in the suitcase. They both love Elmo so we had an Elmo themed party. When they saw all of the decorations they kept yelling, "Elmo, Elmo!"

Neither of them was too crazy about the candle. Cole kept trying to get away from it and Cade just stared at it. They both know how to blow but we couldn't get either of them to do it - so, we helped them out a little.

They both loved their cupcakes but the joy was short lived as they both started fighting and crying. The picture turned out blurry but I had to include it! I have one of Ella just like it! I couldn't blame them though. It had been a long day with only a short nap. And hey, it's their party right? So they can cry if they want to!

Cole got into opening presents the most. Cade just wanted to play with whatever Cole opened. They got lots of fun new things to play with - bath toys, sound books, sit-n-spins, puzzles, bubbles, cars, etc., etc. It was like Christmas!

We still couldn't resist having some more cupcakes and candle blowing on their "real" birthday. We were in Seattle with Papa and Grandma and Uncle Steven. I was hopeful that they would blow out their candles this time but they both had the same reactions that they did the first time. Maybe next year!

Cade and Cole, you are both such sweet and amazing little boys! You are really starting to discover each other and you enjoy playing together. You make us laugh so often - Cade with your deep voice and infectious laugh and Cole with your high squeal and dancing moves. You both add a wonderful spirit to our home and we are so blessed to have you!

I can't believe they are two! We're definately too far away from you. By the way, next year they'll be spitting all over the cake to blow our their three candles. :)
