Time for our first birthday of the year - Daddy's! The kids worked really hard on their signs. I am pretty sure that more marker ended up on the boys' hands and clothes than it did on the paper. Gotta love washable coloring utensils!
Don't these look delicious?! And no, yours truly did not make them. I have sworn myself off from creating any culinary masterpiece until after these babes are - i don't know - 20 years old or something. It was quite the chore getting them to keep their little fingers to themselves until Daddy came home. I didn't succeed. Cade kept saying "Mmmm...yummy!" with a big smile. Like, mom, how can you deny me something so tasty?!
The kids are always so excited when Daddy comes through the door and today was no exception!
But then, amidst all of the excitement, Cole had a meltdown. It may not be his party but he is going to cry anyway! Nothing that a little sugar can't make all better!
Scott's night ended with a fun surprise visit from our neighborhood friends. They came bearing gifts of Rice Krispie squares (his favorite), candy, golf balls, and this lovely picture taken of Scott and Curt at our annual street BBQ. Priceless!
