Nutcracker Tryouts

Ella has finally reached the age where she can try out for the Nutcracker.  She was so excited and definitely nervous, especially when she saw how many girls were there.  We were hoping she was still short enough to try out for baffoons but she just missed the cut off so that bumped her up to party girl.  With only a few spots, we knew the competition would be hard, and it was.  My stomach was in knots as I watched her walk down the stairs with this sea of girls and waited patiently for them to call the first round of cuts.  There were two rounds of cuts and she made it through the first round but was cut at the second round.  I was so proud of her for making it that far on her first audition.  We'll be back for another shot at it next year!
