Our Boys - Chapter 3 and Ella's Big Day

We are FINALLY all together!! We brought Cade home from the NICU on August 28th. We still have some follow-up to do with the bleeding to make sure his body is absorbing it and that there are no neurological issues but other than that - he's a happy, healthy newborn!

Ella was so excited to get to bring Cade home! Today was the first day she had actually seen him besides just once through a window. It was a little - ok, a lot - surreal for me to be on our way with both of them.
Cade and Cole were never together in the NICU so we weren't sure what they were going to think of each other. This was their first time together right after we got them home. As you can see, Cade is exhausted from the trip and Cole is not quite sure what to think. . .

But he quickly decides that he does not like it! :)

They are still getting to know one another and now it's not uncommon to find their arms or legs touching when they are laying next to each other. Both are growing like crazy - Cole is quickly catching up to Cade - and we are finally starting to settle into somewhat of a routine.
Along with all of the excitement with the boys, we also sent Ella off to her first day of Kindergarten this month. I think I have set a new record for how many tears can be shed in one month. :) She was so excited! She is in a french immersion program so half of her day is in English and half is in French. She loves it and it's helping to keep her focused. She also loves riding the bus, which makes her Papa very proud! :)

More adventures to come. . .

Oh I love all the pictures! The one of Cole crying cracks me up! Too cute. :) They are so darling! I still can't believe you have 3 kids..sheesh! Ella looks so grown up in her first day of school picture! I'm sure you were emotional when you sent her off on the bus. Yesterday Teegan said that he needed a kiss from Ella. He sure loves that girl!
