Backyard Fun

Papa and Grandma have a beautiful backyard. Their house backs up to the natural area so it's full of trees. And the kids love playing back there.
Nothing like Smores over the fire pit. Yummy!

Ella could not resist the giant box in the garage that the wheelbarrow came in. She had to do something with it! So, she enlisted the help of Uncle Steven to help her make a fort. From the looks of it, Ella played ball while Uncle Steven built the fort. When it was all done, he asked her what kind of fort it was. She said she wanted a garden room full of flowers. He was not impressed! Forts are supposed to be space rockets or time machines. He'll have to wait to build one for the boys for that one.

There's all kinds of amazing things to find in the backyard - big sticks that have fallen off the trees, leaves, rocks, flowers and much more. Ella wanted to find and collect them all.

Cade became the lucky owner of one of the sticks Ella found. He immediately walked to one of the big dirt piles Steven had made and began to poke holes in it. He did this for what seemed like forever. He loved it!

Cole's fascination in the backyard was the stairs. I was nervous about him being on them at first because they are so deep and he's a little shorty but he was not afraid. He went up and down over and over and over again - and each time he would cheer at the end for his great accomplishment!

What would a backyard bash be without bubbles?! Papa and Grandma gave the boys these bubble guns for their birthday and they were so excited to use them! They kept saying "bubbles" and trying to catch them. So much fun!
