Halloween Carnival

Yesterday was Cade and Cole's first Halloween Carnival at school. I was super excited! Them, super excited too, about everything but wearing their costumes! I had to snap these photos quickly because their costumes were off seconds later. I was sad but happy they lasted for a little bit (and hoping Halloween night is better!). Are they the cutest crayons ever?!
Both of them love anything to do with glue! So it was no surprise when they anxiously began to put the face on their jack-o-lantern treat bag!

The morning was filled with games to play and songs to sing. The funny thing about two year olds is they don't really cooperate and play the way you want them to at times. The pumpkin bean bag toss was the first stop. Cole was not interested at all and Cade was not about to stand behind the line to throw his bean bag. He just walked over and put it right in. We made ghosts at the second stop. This involved sitting in a chair and lacing the ghost together with string. Ummmm....let's just play with the string and ditch the ghost. The third stop was musical spiders. Great! The kids love music. But when is the last time you were able to get seven toddlers to walk in a circle stepping on the appropriate spider and remembering to stop when the music quit playing. Good thing ghost bowling was next or I would have had to declare this carnival a bust! The boys loved it! Anything that involves a ball is fun. Neither of them were able to roll it hard enough to knock the ghosts down but they sure tried hard.

When it was all said and done, all they really wanted to do was eat their dum dum suckers!
