Big Tooth

Does anyone else cringe when they see the root on this tooth! And yes, it's a baby tooth. The dentist finally determined that one of Ella's bottom permanent teeth was not going to be able to come in until this baby one came out. While most baby teeth have just a couple of tiny little points on them for roots - this one was a big exception! Ella was so incredibly brave as they gave her the numbing injection and then proceeded to take some plier looking tool and wiggle the tooth back and forth (quite forcefully) until it finally gave up and popped out. I was holding her hand and could feel her body tensing. No tears though until I asked her if she was ok. Then the waterworks started and I could see how much it had hurt. And one look at the tooth told me why. It left quite the hole behind. So, Uncle Josh and Uncle Steven, our future family dentists, are you impressed?!?
