My little toddlers have graduated from their first year of preschool! They both loved going to school and loved their teacher, Mrs. Snyder. My only hope for the year was that they would make friends, learn to follow directions and be part of the group and have fun! And they accomplished all of those and much more.
I have to admit that I was a bit shocked when I found out they were holding graduation for the 2 year old class. A brave undertaking! But, like any mom, I had high hopes that they would be so excited about it and want to participate. But, sadly, not the case. Neither of them even wanted to go and sit up with their class. I finally convinced Cole but he was not about to move from his chair. They were able to get him to go up and place the sticker on the note but he was too shy to play the piano. I was so proud of him for being willing to at least try!
Oh, Cade! I couldn't convince this guy to do anything today. His cute chair sat empty through the whole program. I asked him frequently if he wanted to go up and sit with everyone but he just responded with funny faces. So his dad! :) I was proud of him for keeping us entertained!
But then, against all odds, a miracle happened! They announced that there were popsicles outside. As soon as the boys heard that word, they were all ready to get in on the action!
With their cute friend, Bryton. Whenever the boys would leave school, they would wave or give Bryton a hug and say, "Bye Friend". So it was only fitting that just before we left they each gave him a hug and kiss and said their last goodbye. Too sweet!
They can hardly wait for next year!
