4th of July

We decided it would be fun to celebrate the holiday at home with a BBQ and fireworks show for the kids. When we were thinking back over the last few years, we discovered that Ella had never done sparklers because we always went to a park for a big show. I was pretty excited to see her have this experience. I was also anxious to see what the boys would think of it all.

Grandma Miles was in town visiting so she was able to celebrate with us, along with our friends - the Dickson's, the Spencer's and the Bare's - our Caprice Lane gang!

The BBQ was a little chaotic - for me anyway. I really seem to notice the craziness of two small kiddos at these types of events. But they loved playing with all of the kids. Ella went crazy with the sparklers and loved everything about having our own little street show. The boys - they weren't quite as sure. Cole just sat in the chair for most of it, covering his ears at times, and he was not interested in the sparklers. Cade was a little more into it but was also afraid of the sparklers. Hopefully it won't be as scary for them next year.

Happy 4th of July!

It was such a fun day. Thanks for having me be part of the festivities. If we were only closer we could do more BBQs together. :-)
